Free Fire Diamonds are the premium in-game currency of Garena Free Fire — they unlock characters, weapon skins, the Elite Pass, exclusive bundles, and pretty much anything that makes you stand out on the map. You can earn a small trickle of Diamonds from events, but realistically, the way most players get them is by topping up.

This guide walks through every way to top up Free Fire Diamonds in 2026 — what works, what's risky, what costs more than it should, and what to do if a top-up goes wrong. We'll cover the in-game store, third-party top-up sites, and gift-card-style codes (which is what we do at Octopus Cards).

The three ways to top up Free Fire Diamonds

There are really only three ways to put Diamonds on your Free Fire account. Everything else is a variation on one of these.

1. The in-game store

Open Free Fire, tap the Diamond icon at the top of the lobby, pick a denomination, and pay through the in-game store. On Android this goes through Google Play; on iOS it goes through the App Store. Quick and reliable — Garena delivers the Diamonds within seconds.

The downside is price. Both Google and Apple take a 30% cut on in-app purchases, and that cost gets passed back to you. Buying through the in-game store is the most expensive route per Diamond.

2. Third-party top-up sites

Sites like Codashop and a handful of others let you top up Diamonds by entering your Player ID and paying with a local payment method. Garena partners with several of these officially, so they're legitimate, and prices are usually a bit better than the in-game store.

The catch: not every site is partnered. There are scam pages that mimic legitimate top-up flows and quietly take your money without delivering. Stick to sites with established reputations, especially ones explicitly listed by Garena or your local app store partners.

3. Gift-card-style codes (this is us)

The third path is to buy a card — a unique code with a PIN that you redeem on a claim page. The Diamonds then credit directly to the Player ID you supply. This is the route we built Octopus Cards around.

The reason this exists: closed-loop cards bypass the in-app purchase tax, get distributed through marketplaces that already handle fraud and chargebacks (we use Driffle), and let you pay with whatever payment method you already trust. The card is single-use and PIN-protected, so even if a code leaks, it can't be redeemed twice. Pricing is typically lower than the in-game store and competitive with third-party top-up sites.

How to redeem an Octopus Free Fire card

If you've bought a card from Driffle (or any of our other distribution partners), the redemption flow looks like this:

  1. Buy the card. Pick a denomination — 100, 210, 1,080, or 2,220 Diamonds — and complete checkout on Driffle. You'll receive a unique card code and PIN immediately.
  2. Visit the claim page. Go to claim.octopuscards.io and enter your card code in the format XXXX-XXX-XXX.
  3. Verify with your PIN. Scratch the panel (digital, in your Driffle order) and enter the 6-digit PIN. This proves you own the card.
  4. Enter your Free Fire Player ID. You'll find this in your in-game profile (more on that below). Type in just the numeric Player ID — no passwords, no logins, no email.
  5. Done. The Diamonds credit to your account within seconds. Open Free Fire and check the Diamond counter — you should see the new balance.

That's the entire flow. No password sharing, no session hijacking, no manual processing.

How to find your Free Fire Player ID

This is where most failed top-ups go wrong, so it's worth getting it right the first time.

  1. Open Free Fire and tap your profile picture in the top-left corner of the lobby.
  2. Your profile card opens. The number directly under your in-game name is your Player ID — usually 9 or 10 digits.
  3. Tap and hold to copy it, or write it down somewhere safe. This is what you'll enter at the claim page.

If you have Free Fire MAX installed instead of (or alongside) regular Free Fire, the Player ID is the same — they share an account system. Diamonds topped up via either version are visible in both.

What you can do with each denomination

Diamond economies shift between seasons, so we won't pretend to give you an exact value-per-Diamond. But here's the general shape of what each Octopus Cards denomination is sized for:

  • 100 Diamonds — a single in-store purchase like a small bundle, a character voice line, or a few Elite Pass tiers. Great for topping up close to the end of a season.
  • 210 Diamonds — a slightly larger one-shot purchase. Enough for many event bundles in the rotating Item Shop.
  • 1,080 Diamonds — generally enough for the Elite Pass (the season pass) with some left over. The most popular tier for active players.
  • 2,220 Diamonds — covers the Elite Pass plus a few extras, or a chunk of skins, or running a couple of bigger luck-royale spins.

The Elite Pass price changes occasionally, so check the in-game pass screen for the exact cost before you commit. Generally though, 1,080 is the "I want the pass" denomination and 2,220 is the "I want the pass plus more" one.

Top-up notes by region

Free Fire is global, but the payment side of things is regional. A few notes for high-volume markets:

India

Free Fire was banned in India for a stretch and then returned as Free Fire India with a slightly different setup. Player IDs are still the same and our cards work on either version. If you're playing from India, see our dedicated Free Fire Diamonds India page — same product, INR-friendly payment options on Driffle.

Pakistan

Free Fire is widely played in Pakistan and there's no special version. Top-ups via Octopus Cards work identically; pay in PKR on Driffle. See Free Fire Diamonds Pakistan.

Anywhere else

Diamonds aren't region-locked. Your Player ID is the same wherever you log in. If you travel, change phones, or play from a different country, the Diamonds you've topped up are still in your account.

Common issues and how to fix them

A small set of things cause most failed top-ups. Cover these and you'll basically never have a problem.

Wrong Player ID. This is the #1 reason a top-up fails. Once Diamonds are credited, they can't be moved between accounts, so double-check the ID before submitting. If you've already redeemed to the wrong ID, Garena's support is unfortunately your only path — we can't reverse a successful redemption.

Code already redeemed. Each card is single-use. If the claim page says the code's already used, it means it has been redeemed once before — usually by you on a previous attempt, but occasionally a sign that the code leaked. Contact us at hello@octopuscards.io with your Driffle order ID and we'll investigate.

Diamonds not showing up. Most credits hit your account within 60 seconds. If you don't see them after 5 minutes, restart the game (don't just close the lobby — force-quit and reopen). If they're still missing after a restart, contact support with your Player ID and the time of redemption.

PIN mismatch. PINs are 6 digits — make sure you're entering exactly six and not stray characters from a copy/paste. If you're certain the PIN is right and it's being rejected, the card may be defective; reach out and we'll re-issue.

Quick FAQ

Do I need to share my password? No. Octopus Cards only ever ask for your Player ID, which is the numeric ID in your profile. Anyone asking for your Garena password is trying to take over your account — close the page and walk away.

Can I use a card outside the country I bought it in? Yes. The card is global; only the payment on Driffle is regional. Once you have the code and PIN, the redemption works from anywhere.

Do these cards expire? Yes — 6 months from purchase. Redeem within that window or the code becomes invalid.

Is there a "cheapest" denomination? Look for the discounted Free Fire denominations — Driffle prices fluctuate, so the absolute cheapest tier per Diamond shifts. Generally larger denominations have a slightly better Diamond-to-dollar rate.

Why not just buy in the in-game store? Convenience, mostly. If you want one-tap purchases and don't mind paying the in-app tax, the in-game store works fine. If you'd rather save the margin and don't mind a 30-second claim flow, the card route is cheaper.

Wrap

The short version: pick a denomination on our Free Fire Diamonds page, pay on Driffle, redeem at claim.octopuscards.io with your Player ID, and the Diamonds appear in your account. No passwords shared, no logins handed over, no waiting in queue. If something goes wrong, hello@octopuscards.io gets a human reply.
